Linux Against Poverty 2010 to be held at Union Park

I just spoke with Greg Bodle of Union Park. Greg has graciously offered to let us use Union Park for this year's Linux Against Poverty Installfest. This is especially generous of Greg considering that we literally moved all the furniture on the first floor to make way for the install fest. (We moved it back though). Most club owners would be going "whoa! whoa! whoa!

Another great thing about having Union Park for the install fest is that people were able to drop off computers out front all day. People would drive up and pop the trunk. We'd take the computer and offer a tax receipt. These drive-thru computer donations yielded an additional 40 computers -- all benefiting Central Texas children.

By the way, Union Park has a great inexpensive rooftop brunch from 12-3PM on Sunday. Stop by, check out the brunch, and tell Greg thanks.

See you at the Install Fest!
